Typically, a concrete slab should not be driven on for at least 7 days after pouring.

  • Concrete Slab Thickness

    Generally, it’s best to follow your local council guidelines for minimum slab thickness. Most residential footpath slabs are a minimum of 100mm (10cm) thick, while driveways and shed slabs are 125mm thick (12.5cm). Some slabs come down to council guidelines, while others depend on the concreter and owner of the property. Essentially, residential foot traffic only slabs can be poured at 100mm thick, and anything that will have multiple tonne on it should be poured at a minimum of 125mm thick.
